Anal Stretching
What you need
Silicone-based lubricant or generous amounts of water-based lube, reapplied throughout. A set of progressively sized plugs or toys. Clean hands with short, smooth nails.
How to approach it
Solo
Start with external massage and generous lubrication. Use one finger, then two — at each increment, pause and stay at that size until the sensation of fullness becomes ordinary rather than acute. This normalization is the entire technique: you're not pushing through resistance, you're waiting for it to resolve. Progress to toys gradually. Reapply lube more than feels necessary. When you remove at the end — after the largest size you've reached — notice what happens to the opening: it may remain visibly stretched open for a period after. Notice whether the visual fact of that, and the sensation of remaining open, produces anything.
With a partner
The receiver's only job is to breathe and stay relaxed — they don't manage the pace or the transitions. The giver controls everything: size, timing, lubrication, how long to hold each increment before advancing. Reapply lube each time you change size. The giver can see the opening throughout in a way the receiver cannot. When you remove at the end, the giver has a direct view of the gaping that follows. Whether you describe what you're seeing to the receiver, or stay silent, is a choice with its own dynamic.
Things to explore
- Does the normalization at each size — waiting until fullness becomes ordinary — feel like patience, or like something being actively processed?
- Is the primary experience the sensation of fullness at maximum size, the process of getting there, or the gaping afterward?
- As giver: does watching the opening accommodate each increment, and seeing the gaping on removal, produce a response of its own?
- Does vaginal and anal stretching feel categorically different — in sensation, or in the psychological weight of it?
Why people love this
The technique for stretching is patience applied physically: each increment held long enough to become normal before advancing trains the tissue to accommodate more than it arrived expecting to. The sensation is not simply more of ordinary fullness — at a certain point it becomes something distinct, a specific awareness of being held open from inside. Gaping is the visible evidence: the opening temporarily remaining open after removal, tissue slowly returning over a minute or two. Many people find the visual aspect — seeing or knowing the state of the opening afterward — produces a response that's separate from the sensation itself and worth distinguishing.
